A Thought Experiment On Purpose.

As practically everything we do is insignificant if we zoom out enough, wouldn't it be immoral to pursue objectives that can be achieved within one's lifetime?

The greatest scientific discoveries were made possible through 1000s of years of effort. Someone had to start at zero.

It's just a thought. I'm not going to give up all joy in pursuit of something I could never see the end of. But even if, what would be the end goal? Maybe there is none and we are just meant to live within our biology. The universe is a big place. Then there is the possibility of the infinite multiverse.

Even if there were a god, what is their purpose? What was there before them? And before that?

With infinite power, the question still remains: What was before and is there an after? To try to figure it out then would be a foolish endeavor because it's literally impossible, even for a god.

With that thinking, enjoying the ignorance of not knowing is the only purpose we could every truly know.

In other words, have fun kids!
